#GATHERINSPIRATION with Lauren Shepherd from @huntersandheels

To celebrate our new partnership with Joules, Gather & Co chatted to British lifestyle blogger, Lauren Shepherd about all things British, her plans for Hunters and Heels and her fave picks from what Friends of Joules has to offer.

So what are your favourite picks from what Friends of Joules has to offer so far?

Ahh there are so many things I adore! Obviously I love our Gather & Co floor cushion that we bought last year but aside from that here’s a few of my current faves….

Garden Bread Bag, Helen Round

What a pretty and environmentally friendly way to keep bread fresh. We’ve started making small changes to our storage and packaging like this and it feels so much better!

Solid Circle Necklace, Eleven Fifteen Jewellery

I love the simplicity of Eleven Fifteen Jewellery, particularly this gold plated necklace.

The Rabbit Plate, The Wood Life Project

Couldn’t resist these eco and durable editions to my boys crockery.

Peter Rabbit 2 Movie Themed Ski Suit, Dinoski

We don’t have any plans to ski this year, but next year we will most definitely be getting these for our little two. We’re huge Peter Rabbit fans and they are so warm and snuggly too.

Beeswax Wrap Lunch Pack, The Beeswax Wrap Company

We’ve been using these Beeswax wraps for a few weeks now as a replacement for cling film or plastic bags. They really are so versatile and they look so pretty too!

Reduced Sugar Cherry Jam, Fearne & Rosie

The best jam! I buys this for the children but always have some for myself too! It’s delicious!

British Wool Hare Soft Toy, CDBDI

Vicki makes these soft toys by hand using British wool. We have a few and always get asked about them. Without a doubt, they’re heirloom worthy.

Fairfax & Favor The Heeled Amira Boot, Fairfax & Favor

The most beautiful pair of boots I’ve ever owned!

You’re clearly a huge fan of Joules. What would be your go to outfit from the current collection?

With all the recent wet weather these would be my go to staples...

 Barrowden Waterproof Long Coat

Printed Tall Height Wellies

What does the future hold for Hunters and Heels?

There is so much I want to do with Hunters & Heels! I would love to do more meet ups, both through Bobbi Brown and on my own. I feel really passionate about bringing to life the people that are behind the squares. I’m currently working on some more product ideas after the launch of my exclusive make up set with Bobbi Brown last year and my collaboration with Emily Rollings in December. It’s really exciting working on projects like that and it’s definitely something I would love to do more of.

Gather & Co is all about stylish British living and gathering together. With that in mind lets end on a few quick fire questions…

Favourite interior style?

Cosy, comfortable and calm. I’m drawn to more neutral colours but love to bring a little of the British season into the home too.

Favourite thing to do together as a family?

We love to get outside! I’m always inspired by nature and I love how creative children are with play when they are away from traditional toys. We collect sticks and stones, search for bugs, splash in puddles. It’s the simple things. Plus having two very young boys is a little like having puppies, they need a daily walk!

Favourite outdoors place in the UK?

So hard!! We love the Cotswolds, The Lake District and the Gower.  There is so much beauty here in the UK.

Favourite British brands?

Again, so many! I think there’s so much to be proud of here in the UK, with now global brands like Jo Malone, Joules, White Company all starting their journeys here. I also really love supporting smaller independent British brands like Williams Handmade, Emily Rollings and CDBI Toys to name just a few.
